InnerSpace Mezzanines

Build up, rather than out. We install factory engineered mezzanines according to Federal, State and local building codes. Shelving, rack, floor-to-floor lifts, gates, conveyors, prefabricated offices, and other equipment can be integrated into a single system to increase efficiency and save money. And InnerSpace offers free consultation services to ensure that you get the product you really need.

The following illustrations will give you an idea of three typical uses:

free standing mezzanine

Figure 1 shows a free standing Cubic Designs mezzanine used to double floor space. Column spans of up to 40 feet maximize the first floor usability. Deck choices include plywood, bar grating, polytexture, concrete and others. Optional self-opening/closing gates facilitate forklift access while vertical lifts and conveyors easily move material between floors.

in-plant office on mezzanine

Figure 2 shows an in-plant office above, storage below. Columns have been integrated into the design to minimize workflow impedance. Pre-fabricated, modular building on top of deck for increased plant visibility. Alternatively, the in-plant office can be on the main floor with a storage mezzanine above.

cat-walk, and floor-to-floor lift mezzanine

Figure 3 shows a catwalk, full mat, and floor-to-floor lift system with a Cubic Designs mezzanine. Catwalk systems can save considerable money when compared to other systems. Shelving is typically 15-18' high and the aisles are decked on the upper level. Integrated systems are frequently combined with gates for forklift access and/or conveyors.

Some good reasons to use a modular mezzanine include:

  • Mezzanines maximize the use of your facility. Create more space and streamline logistics with better workflow without expanding your facility.
  • Moving "up" is cheaper than moving "out". Save on the expense, operational interruption and inefficiencies of moving or co-locating.
  • Financial incentives include equipment lease options, and accelerated depreciation as compared to construction.
  • Preserves your assets. Modular design is re-configurable and re-locatable, with a manufacturer warrantee.
  • Saves money. Save on maintenance expenses, energy costs, insurance premiums and the cost of other options.
